Philomene Kocher

Philomene Kocher is a poet and photographer who lives in Kingston, Ontario. She served as secretary of Haiku Canada for 12 years. Her second collection of haiku – still: new, selected and collaborative haiku – was published in 2022, and is available from Ekstasis Editions. This book features linked verse with Marco Fraticelli, a haiku travelogue written while travelling in Egypt, and individual poems in sections titled Blizzard, Dandelions, Fireflies, and Harvest. She believes haiku fosters the ability to find beauty in the ordinary.
